This summer Nickelodeon premiered “100 Things to Do Before High School”—a hilarious show that is based around three best friends CJ Parker, who is played by Isabela Moner, Fenwick, who is played by Jaheem Toombs and Crispo, who is played by Owen Joyner. Together, the three take on middle school. They face bullies, oddball teachers and the crushes.
The show is written in part by Scott Fellows, the writer for “Big Time Rush,” “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide” and “The Fairly Oddparents.”
We recently chatted with Chazz Nittolo—who plays one of CJ’s crushes—about acting, music and some of his hobbies.
One of Chazz’s first experiences on stage was when he was in fifth grade. He played a character named Samuel Clemmings in his school’s production of “Gold Dust of Bust.” For those who have never heard of the play, it is about the gold rush.

“It definitely opened my eyes to acting,” he said in regards to the production.
Fast forward five years and we catch him in the halls of Pootatuck Middle School.
Chazz just turned 16 and this year, he hopes to continue working as an actor. He would like to do a movie or more TV shows within the next year. Chazz still auditions for new roles all the time, so we will be sure to let you know when we find out Chazz’s next role.
As for what kind of project we’ll see him in, he’s ready for anything.
“Right now I would love to do a variety of different things and whatever comes my way, just do it,” he said.
When it comes to what actors he looks up to, he’s a fan of classic, versatile actors such as Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando. One of his favorite films is iconic 1994 flick, “The Shawshank Redemption.”
Although we love to see Chazz on camera, he also likes to work off camera as well. Some of his hobbies include photography, editing and working on short videos and art in general. Some of his other hobbies include mixed martial arts training, water polo, swimming, surfing, soccer and skateboarding.
Musically, he is a fan of Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd. However, the song that is buzzing around his head right now is Adele’s latest release “Hello.” Much like the rest of us, he can’t wait for the album to come out. “25” is set for release on Nov. 20 for everyone who was curious!
You can catch “100 Things to Do Before High School” on Saturdays on Nickelodeon. Unfortunately there is no episode this week, but the show returns next week with an episode titled “Get The Most Out of Sick Day.” Season one wraps up on Nov. 21, so there are just three episodes left.
